Delete Your Account

Confess has not launched and account deletion is not yet active. The intended process is documented here so it can be implemented and tested before users register.

Delete inside the app

1. Open your account or Sinner ID settings.
2. Select Account, then Delete account.
3. Review what will be deleted or retained, confirm your request, and complete any security check.

Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, email privacy@confess.ie from the address connected to your account with the subject “Delete my account”. The team may need to verify that the request belongs to the account holder.

What happens next

[Before launch, state the precise deletion time, cancellation window, treatment of public or de-identified content, backups, reports, security records, and information retained to meet legal obligations.] Users must see this information before confirming deletion.

Pre-launch note

The privacy mailbox must be activated and the complete deletion flow must be tested before account registration opens.
