Terms of Use
Draft updated 30 August 2026
These draft terms are placeholders for the pre-launch website. They are not yet a contract for use of the app and require legal review before public registration opens.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use Confess. You are responsible for accurate registration details, protecting access to your account, and activity performed through it. A Sinnername is an anonymous identity inside the service; it must not be used to impersonate someone.
Your content
You remain responsible for content you submit and must have the right to share it. [Complete a limited content licence that gives the operator only the permissions needed to host, display, moderate, secure, and operate the service.]
Acceptable use
You must follow the Community Guidelines. You may not misuse the service, interfere with its security, collect other users' information without permission, or use Confess for unlawful activity.
Moderation and accounts
Confess may review reports, limit distribution, remove content, or restrict or close accounts to enforce its rules, protect the service, or comply with law. [Complete the notification, appeal, and complaint-handling procedure.]
Service availability
The service may change, pause, or experience faults. [Add legally appropriate warranty, liability, indemnity, consumer-rights, app-store, and termination wording after review.] Nothing in the final terms should exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law and contact
[Confirm the contracting operator, governing law, courts, consumer dispute information, effective date, and change-notice process.] Questions will be handled at support@confess.ie once that address is active.
